My First Blog Post

What I love about winter is the opportunity to layer fabrics and textures to keep you both warm and stylish. During my closet cleaning reflection, I found a wool coat with leather accents that I totally forgot I had (and love!). I also spaced out a bit, and thought if I could only take pictures of all of my outfits and tell the story behind it to chronicle what I was feeling at the time... what a novel idea. Ever heard of a blog?.

So while I feel like kicking myself for taking this long to start my personal style and lifestyle blog, I know now that I have a real understanding of my true self (bear with me a moment, as I get deep); through my many life experiences, I have learned that yes you can “Keep Calm and Carry On”, however, my mentality at the moment is “Get your shit together and turn that shit into gold”. Whatever gold may mean to you, make sure it makes you happy.

Writing and expressing myself makes me happy. Bringing people together makes me happy. Sharing my point of view and/or speaking on behalf of someone or something that I believe in makes me happy. Cleaning out my closet, putting this outfit together, and sharing the story behind it, makes me happy.

As the new girl in the blogging world, I know that I have my work cut out for me but we shall never run away from challenges amigas.
