Vanessa Santos as a young girl

I made the choice to look at my lessons as blessings.

As a multi-passionate first-generation Latina, born and raised in NYC, I relied on my imagination to cope with the realities of my humble beginning. Growing up, I loved creating, telling stories, and writing. I also started my first side-hustle at 13. I became resourceful from a very young age, not by choice but due to my surroundings. I wanted more for myself, for my family, and for my future.

My worldview at the time was that some people get lucky and then there’s us. Not so rich. Forgotten. Must work hard to earn your place and earn a dollar. That programmed thinking took me on a path of events that made me feel like I was constantly hustling to make ends meet.

The Universe being as wise as she is, delivered life lessons that would inevitably become my blessings.

The turning point.

I had the privilege of visiting an orphanage in Cuba to bring supplies, teach, and spend time with the kids. I immediately recognized the look in the eyes of those beautiful young souls. Wishing someone would rescue them, wishing that this was just a blip in their lives. I connected so deeply with those children and instantly felt guilt for ever feeling like I didn’t have options in my life. On the ride back home I made the realization that we create our own prisons with our mind. Those kids didn’t have a choice, but I did. I have the choice to look at life differently, to change my life, to use my energy to help others instead of the superficial things surrounding me at the time.

In the hustle and grind of wanting to “make it”, I lost myself. From the outside, it looked like I had it all figured out. And although I accomplished incredible things in the corporate business world, in my own mind, I still felt trapped and my spirit desired more.

In the most natural and humbling of environments, I chose to stop focusing on my past and focused on building my future.

Abundance rules everything around me.

Through advising and advocating for dozens of women since my early 20’s, and after experiencing burn out with the traditional corporate world, I knew something had to change. The pandemic only exacerbated what people were feeling, and in 2020 I mentored 44 women helping them remove blockers and step into a world of abundance. I knew in my soul that helping these women see the light in themselves and support them through challenging times was my calling.

I got certified as a business and life coaching and dove into mentorship and public speaking to be a catalyst for change. Many of these brilliant and talented women knew they wanted something different but didn’t know where to begin.

My collective experiences, my intuition, and my own breakthroughs molded me to become who I needed to be.

The power of choice.

When I looked inward, expanded my awareness, released fear and self-doubt, I stepped into my power. It helped me build a community of women who were ready to own their narrative, master their mindset, and step into abundance. Being on a higher frequency allowed me to connect with like-minded women in the business world too, which led me to join #WeAllGrow Latina as Partner & Co-CEO.

If there’s even a whisper in your mind telling you something has to change, trust me when I say, your abundance is ready to make contact with you.

The choice to take the step into abundance is yours.

“Allow yourself to get there. Great things take time and you shouldn’t set expectations for the unknown”

“Habits become the unconscious guide in your life.

I am conscious about my daily habits and have seen the power that even the smallest of habits have had in transforming my life and business. I have morning habits that are part of my morning routine: morning gratefulness, meditation, work out, and sharing a morning perspective on my Instagram.”

“Don’t attach your identity to your job.

It’s easy to start seeing your job and who you are as a person as one and the same… By setting boundaries in her life and keeping her identity separate, she was able to devote more time to things that she’s passionate about. “It’s about being where your consumers are.

When it comes to omnichannel, it’s essentially creating a brand extension, an experience across multiple online channels. The prominence of leveraging all of these existing platforms and being able to ensure that your consumers can purchase on any of them is what a winning omnichannel strategy looks like.”
