People will call it luck.
They'll say he was in the right place at the right time. That the stars aligned. That he caught a wave.
But luck isn't what happened to Bad Bunny. Alignment is.
On Sunday, Benito takes the Super Bowl halftime stage. The first Latino artist to headline solo. Performing entirely in Spanish. On the biggest stage in America. A week after winning Album of the Year at the Grammys, the first Spanish-language album to ever take that honor.
His first words on stage: "Before I say thanks to God, I'm gonna say ICE out. We're not savage. We're not animals. We're not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans."
The president π called his selection "a terrible choice." Conservative groups launched a counter-halftime show with Kid Rock. Homeland Security announced ICE agents will be present at the venue.
And still, he's not code-switching. Not softening. Not translating himself into something more digestible.
That's not luck. That's what happens when you build from desire instead of duty.
Everything you built from obligation is exhausting you. Everything you built from desire is sustaining you.
Notice the difference.
Benito didn't need proof that he was going to be a global icon, thought leader, culture shaper. He followed his desire. His duty is to himself, his community, his island. He didn't wait for permission. He didn't shrink so others could feel comfortable.
And that alignment? It made him undeniable.
Luck is what happens when preparation meets alignment. When you stop betraying yourself long enough for the right things to find you. When you honor what you actually want instead of what you think you should want.
You don't have to come from privilege to live a privileged life. You just have to stop building from obligation and start building from desire.
The year of building differently means you don't need proof to accept that something is true within you.
If you're being called to leave something, pursue something, create something - Stop doubting yourself.
Are you going to keep watching other people pursue their dreams while you stay "realistic"?
It's your choice. And as I shared last week: choosing to live differently, to move deliberately, to observe life as a student instead of a victim is also a choice.
Change is hard. So is staying the same.
You deserve to live a life that celebrates you.
You didn't get this far, survive all the things you've survived to watch other people live a big life while you play it safe.
I'm building my business, my big life in real time. The unglamorous parts. The rebuilding. The moments no one sees. And I'm inviting you to build alongside me.
You have everything within you right now to get started. To do something, just 1% closer to who you're becoming.
So as you evolve, as you give yourself permission to dream bigger, pay attention: Who supports your vision? And who prefers you stay in a lane because it serves them?
ππ½ The people who want you small are not your people.
May this letter, may this weekend watching Benito perform at the Super Bowl, remind you that life celebrates those who dare to be unapologetically themselves. That, what looks like luck is actually alignment. That when you honor your desires, the world rearranges itself to meet you.
If you're ready to stop watching and start building:
βThe Sovereign Architect is for the woman ready to rebuild her foundation. Six weeks. You and me.
βThe Decision Sprint is for the woman who needs one clear next move.
Next week: Phase 3 of The Self-Reclamation Methodβ’: The Shedding.
π° Are you going to be watching Benito do this thing??
Happy Benito Weekend.
