Denim on Denim

You simply can't go wrong with a nicely fitted denim top paired with high-waisted (or whatever you prefer) denim jeans. During my typical 5 minute debate of figuring out what shoes I should wear, I noticed that it pairs perfectly with almost any type of footwear. 

There's something classic yet cool about this look that I can't get enough of! The best part is that you don't have to break the bank to achieve the denim on denim style. 

A stylish tip:  The top doesn't have to be fitted... in fact grab your boyfriend's or brother's denim top, tie a knot after the 3rd button, and voila! An easy and relaxed look. This look is so effortless that you'll be sure to find yourself on all of the trendy lists. Every fashionista has that perfect pair of high-waisted jeans, go ahead and pair it with any type of denim top.  Another tip: The color wash can vary... you don't necessarily need to match the hues in order for this look to work.  

I paired my look with the oh so fashionable Chanel espadrilles. Naturally tousled hair and minimal jewelry add that extra touch to the outfit. Honestly, if you wish to make this look work for an evening setting, pop on some high-heel sandals, statement earrings, and a bold lip. My jeans are the high-waisted skinny Levis and I picked up this soft denim top at the Gap.
