Last night it took me a minute to fall asleep because excitement wrapped around me like the coziest blanket.

I am still in disbelief that in a matter of 4 months, my partner Patty & I, along with the incredible team at NAF and Evelyn our event producer, we are pulling off a 3-day gathering with over 40 speakers!

This same time last year I was experiencing major withdrawals, I missed gathering women, I missed speaking on a stage, I missed building the world for the event, I missed creating with brand partners on how we are going to make this feel special, I missed connecting with women and talking about our dreams and how we want to change the world.

This same time last year, I made a withdrawal from my IRA so I can pay for an airbnb in the desert to rest and begin to integrate the visions I'd ignored for too long and start mapping that out.

In the mapping that's when I realized I needed to give myself my flowers, I'm damn good at creating spaces where people can feel like the best version of themselves, I'm damn good at creating worlds for female founders and brands who want to play at the highest level while making serious bank.

So when Patty called me and said, "Everything we've talked about, we can build it together.", I knew I was in the right place. And as a reflector in Human Design, my design is not built to hunt. I am built to mirror and attract, and my network brings opportunities.

That took me a while to reconcile because I've never liked depending on anyone for my success and I realized I was looking at it the wrong way. I'm not depending on anyone, I am finally allowing people to see my brilliance and invite themselves to collaborate with me.

What's so fascinating about my call with Patty is when she said, "we can create a space where we can talk about power and wealth without hiding from it." and it was music to my ears because I pulled up the Build The Dream website, and sent her the link. We were wanting the same thing, so we decided to go build.

In 4 months, we've reached out to friends and women we admire and asked them to join us in this mission. And these are busy AF women, some cleared their schedules because they aren't just showing up for us, they are showing up for themselves. for other women. for the version of themselves that they also have kept hidden. And every single conversation I have, I am reminded about how powerful women really are.

👉🏼 If I were to just define Latinas as an economic engine, I would be correct in that definition because we are the 4th largest economy on the world, $4.4 Trillion worth, and we're celebrating that at Thrive & Lead.
